PVC Free PVC Free PVC plastic can leach chemicals that are banned from use in children’s toys because of the potential risks to young children. In 2005 the European parliament acted by putting restrictions on the use of these chemicals on the basis of their reproductive, developmental and liver toxicity.

Despite this concern, PVC is widely used as a bottle cap liner and these chemicals, called phthalates, have been found in numerous brands of bottled water. As a result, Belu only uses PVC-free bottle caps and we include a “PVC free” logo on our products.

Chemicals banned from children’s toys should not be in our drinking water.
